Our beautiful smiling girl

Our happy baby sure likes her uncle Michael. We took these pictures of her while he was holding her during a recent visit on his way to NY from Alaska.

...a stones throw

It is not quite spring yet but we had a lovely sunny day so we headed off to nearby Bateman's Island for a hike and some fresh air. Taran hasn't mastered skipping stones but gives it a good try.

Finding a feather on our hike

On our hike we collected a popped balloon, a white feather, and several sticks.

Tovi Elise Shortly After Her Arrival!

We began induction around 8 am Jaunuary 23rd. It was a slow process but everything went relatively smoothly. At 9:30 pm that night they broke my water to speed things up. The contractions increased in duration, frequency and intensity and at about 12:30 am I was barely hanging on. The nurse estimated I had another 3 hours to go so I said, "EPIDURAL PLEASE!". No sooner had the anesthesiologist turned it on and the nurse checked my dilation and what do you know I was beyond 10 cm. So off the epidural went and at 1:09 am January 24th Tovi was born after 3 or 4 pushes.

Almost 1 day old

I lost one of my socks.
