Ferris Wheel Video

Taran thought it was pretty cool how much of the fair he could see from the top. After I ask Tovi if she's having fun she shivers with delight.

Fish Hook Park - Snake River

Taran took off his shirt and eagerly waded right into the river before I had a chance to get his swimsuit on. He wanted to swim out to the floats so I had him put on a life vest first (the park had some loaners on the beach) just to be on the safe side.

Tovi thought the sand (silt) was very mushy.

After the beach we wandered over to the playground. Tovi found a stick she really liked and Taran explored the woods in his wet underwear collecting several different kinds of shelf mushrooms.

Taran and Tovi swim lesson test day

Both Taran and Tovi graduated into new swim levels. Taran is now a "Manta Ray" and Tovi is a "Starfish". Taran had to swim six different strokes a full pool length, tread water for 30 seconds, dive and do a forward somersault (prep for flip turns). Tovi had to float independently on front and back, flutter kick 10 ft on front and back, and flutter kick with rolling and breathing from front to back to front half width of pool.

4th of July

Orange smoke bomb.
We had some friends over for the 4th. Tovi and Quinn were in gymnastics together and Taran and Xaus were in preschool last year and will be in PreK together this year.

Crazy swinger! The dads had to hold the swingset down on both ends.

Rowing machine is now a climbing toy

Connor and I were both interested in rowing to keep in shape so I bought one but several months later I can't use it while pregnant and Connor is letting his pinched nerve heal so... it's Taran's toy.
